Why Ginseng Ledger

What makes these courses worth your time

Education, not advice

No financial products to sell. Every session is designed to expand your understanding, leaving decisions firmly in your hands.

Hong Kong context throughout

Material built around the HK healthcare system, MPF landscape, and Greater Bay Area options — not adapted from elsewhere.

Paced for working adults

Weekly sessions with recorded access. Designed so that professionals in their 40s and 50s can fit study around employment.

Both sides of the equation

Courses address both personal needs and the reality of supporting older parents — the dual responsibility that many midlife households face.

Written outputs you can keep

The flagship programme produces a personal health-and-wealth overview document — a reference you can revisit and update over time.

Compassionate in tone

These topics carry emotional weight. The material is written and delivered with care, acknowledging that planning for ageing involves more than numbers.

A considered starting point

Which course fits where you are right now?

We are happy to speak with you about your situation and help you identify which programme, if any, would be a useful next step. There is no obligation to enrol.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do these courses recommend specific insurance products or financial advisers?

No. Ginseng Ledger operates on an education-only basis. We do not sell, endorse, or receive commissions from any financial or insurance products. The courses are designed to help you ask better questions and make more considered decisions with whoever you choose to work with.

I am in my late 40s and have done some planning already. Are the courses still relevant?

Yes, in most cases. Many participants arrive with some planning in place and find that the courses help them identify gaps, review assumptions, and think more systematically about how healthcare costs interact with their existing arrangements. The material is structured to be useful whether you are starting fresh or reviewing existing plans.

Are the courses delivered in person or online?

Sessions are delivered via structured online modules with scheduled live discussions. Recordings are available to all enrolled participants. Our Central Hong Kong office is also available for in-person consultation by appointment.

My parents are approaching the age where care may become necessary. Which course addresses that?

The Long-Term Care Planning programme covers exactly this situation, with specific modules on the dynamics of supporting older parents — including the financial interaction between your own plans and theirs. The Integrated Health and Wealth Planning course also addresses this as part of a broader retirement picture.

What is the refund policy?

A full refund is available up to seven days before the course start date. After that point, a credit for a future cohort is available up to 48 hours before the first session. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions or contact us directly to discuss your circumstances.

How are participant cohorts sized?

We keep cohort sizes small — typically between eight and sixteen participants — so that discussion sessions remain substantive and questions receive proper attention. When a cohort reaches capacity, enquiries are held for the following intake.
